Bomb The Bass
My manager at Fiction Records at the time, Martin Sexton (not that Martin Sexton!) introduced me to Martin Heath at Rhythm King Records who was based out of Mute Records offices. That led to work with a band called Hard Corps and then this mix for Tim Simonen, who basically was Bomb The Bass. MC Merlin was a very charismatic, fairly young teen London rapper who Martin Heath had discovered. I went on to work with him on his own album and he was incredibly talented - I don't think he was more than 16 years old. Unfortunately like many 16 year old boys he made some decisions that weren't so great - like stealing blank cheques from the record label!
